Sacra Corona

An ode to the imperial hippies...

Man, I do love the Holy Crown of Hungary! It's simply grand. Our royal crown is the coolest in the Universe! If you ask the big experts of holycrownology, one of them will sure as hell explain that the whole thing is about tolerance, respect of other nations, freedom, unity, equality, peace, blah blah blah. Tons of idealistic tree-hugging hippie shit. Just go and ask them!

But most importantly it is about the sovereignty of the people! Every citizen of the realm, no matter if he or she is Hungarian, Slovak, Serb, Gypsy or Jewish, is a "member" of the Crown, and the Crown is completely superior to the king who wears it. The king doesn't really matter the tiniest piece of shit. He's just a figure carrying it around. It's the Crown which matters! The nation is ruled by the Crown itself. It's a completely independent and sovereign entity... Well, except for the fact that we are all its members, so there's no crown without the people. The Crown is us! Ain't that brilliant?!

Well, actually it's not just the people. The Doctrine of Holiness keeps telling about the "Nations of the Crown" as its subjects. All these nations are equal and none of them can be placed above the other. Because what did Saint Stephen, the founder of our great nation, tell his son? He told:

"A country with only one language and lifestyle
is a weak and feeble one!"

This pretty much tells it all...

If you just think about it for a second, it's really trivial! The conquering Magyars were only a few thousand in numbers and they were grouped into nine different tribes. (One of them was actually Jewish!) The fertile lands of Hungary were already inhabited by lots of different people who became Hungarian citizens in 1000 AD. Plus the king invited even more foreign people in order to modernize the country. Germans, Italians, et cetera. Assimilating these vastly diverse groups of people into one single culture would have been mission impossible even for natural born theologists, not to mention our roaming bands of nomadic warriors. Saint Stephen knew this all too well, so he decided to incorporate this magnificent piece of wisdom which is nowadays labeled "multiculturalism" into his doctrine.

During the course of our history, the kings and nobles of Hungary - our upper class, our 1% - have completely betrayed this doctrine.
  • First by attacking the Hungarian peasantry which wanted nothing more than freedom and dignity. To be treated as equal members of the Crown.
  • Second by attacking the other nations of the Crown. Hungarians just love bitching about the way the big powers treated us, but for some reason they fail to mention that none of these powers prevented us from using our language and culture. We did just that to the ethnic minorities of our kingdom.
  • Last but not least, by attacking other nations outside of the realm! Without being attacked, and also without taking the most basic considerations for the future of Hungary. Just a few months before each great Hungarian tragedy - Mohacs, 1848, Trianon, WWII and 1956 - there was always a moment of divine grace, a golden opportunity to keep the nation out of harm's way. The Hungarian elite has always failed to grasp these opportunities because of nothing but selfishness and pure arrogance.
These are all capital crimes, acts of high treason against the Holy Crown. The Hungarian elite has always been a foolish, selfish, obstinate, feeble and narrow-minded group of traitors. If I were a Christian, I would say our great misfortune is all God's punishment for our stupidity and arrogance.

The big problem is that we are still pretty much stupid and arrogant. Of course other nations are stupid and arrogant as well, but that's unfortunately none of our business. They don't have a crown which explicitly forbids them to be like that. We do. But the thing which especially hurts and irritates this splendid little crown is not the explicit denial of its doctrine. Oh, none at all! It doesn't give a flying fuck about that.

It is much rather the fact that the most blatant and arrogant violations of the doctrine come from those who keep posturing as its truest and noblest fighters, its perseverent saviors. Now that's an insult! A very big one. The notion that one can love the crown and hate the Slovaks at the same time is a logical fallacy. Or the Jews. Or the Gypsies. Or homosexuals, for that matter. You cannot do that. By hating another nation of the Holy Hungarian Crown, you effectively violate the very heart of the doctrine: the unity of all these nations. Plus the sexual orientation of a citizen cannot be made an issue before the Crown. It's just absurd.

Conclusion: If you want to restore the power and glory of the Holy Crown as it used to be, you must first try to act in accordance with the very basics of its doctrine. Respect other religions, other nations inside and outside the realm, other beliefs, other ways of life. Because the Crown doesn't have a religion or a race or a lifestyle or even a language. It's just the Crown! It's a completely singular entity. I might say the only thing our Holy Crown has is love. Like I said, it is the supreme quintessence of all the hippie shit out there...
