Let us not be Palestinians

Our ardently national socialist Jobbik party has a slogan which says: "Let us not be Palestinians in our own homeland".  I think I agree with that. Actually, I not only agree, but I claim something even more:

I say we should not be Palestinians basically anywhere!

Many years ago, I used to study some kind of social psychology. In my textbook, there was a very simple abstraction about analyzing the different ways of parenting. Simple abstractions, when applied outside the domain of classical Newtonian physics, usually don't get us closer to understanding the whole truth, but this one might be useful to understand Germany.

A neten megjelenő tudományos orbánizmusnak egy színvonalasabb példája az indexen megjelenő "Jövő idő" cikksorozat, amelyet a Budapesti Kommunikációs Főiskola mittudoménmilyen stratégiai fűmuftija vetett papírra. Nem teljesen orbánista, hanem inkább tudományos. Picit feláldoz a pártvonalból a hitelesség kedvéért. Nagyon jó szövegek vannak benne, és az egész nagyon izgalmasan, már-már akciófilmbe illően festi le a közeledő hatalmas válságot, amelyről az amerikai elemzők nem akarnak tudni, és amelyben a nyugat összeomlik, a kelet pedig győzelmet arat. Különböző igazságok és féligazságok gyönyörű montázsa.

Cantarea Romaniei

Nehéz ügy, amikor az ember egyik barátjáról kiderül, hogy fideszes. Régen is nehéz volt, de most még nehezebb. Azt gondolom, ma már elmúlt az az idő, amikor még hidakat lehetett építeni és árkokat tömködni. Mostanában legfeljebb csáklyás létrákat érdemes építeni és ágyúkat tömködni.

Elmúlt az az idő, amikor még egy erőteljesebb Fidesz-kritika után az ember látni vélhette Andrej Zsdanov szellemét előbújni a palackból... (Vagyis éppenhogy most van az az idő, amikor konkrétan előbújik, csak épp a másik oldalon.)

The paradox of anti-speciesism

Yesterday evening I've met some animal rights activists on the Königstrasse of Stuttgart. This one is a long and broad street reserved for pedestrian use. It's a little bit like the Vaci street of Budapest. However, unlike its Hungarian counterpart, the street itself is a little bit like some antique Agora instead of a bunch of poorly disguised attempts to rip off brain-dead tourists.

However, it must be noted to the defense of the German political system, that the parties and a media are being quite furious about the whole thing, determined to kick the National Democratic Party (NPD) completely out of legality. Even the right-wing CDU wants them out of the state parliaments.

Many Germans are feeling the same as me, and not only on the left.

In Hungary, there was a similar killing spree - with victims including little children - after years of far-right provocation about "gypsy crime". The Hungarian media and parties reacted with... Well, nothing, actually.

So much for the protectors of German constitution: fighting zealously against left-wing "extremists" as if there were still an RAF out there, all the while letting 10 innocent immigrants being murdered...

Now I am asking very sincerely: Who are the real enemies of Democracy?

And I wonder if the name "Anders Breivik" still rings a bell for anyone?

Clue: 77 people slaughtered in Norway.

Worluk not yet for president

Keserű érzés újra meg újra szembesülni Tóta W Árpád hihetetlenül primitív és arrogáns, fanatikusan piacpárti jobboldaliságával. Egy kicsit olyan, mint egy színvonalasabb Csurka-darab után először kézbe venni egy Magyar Fórumot...

Amikor az ember már azt hinné, hogy alapvetően jó arc, csak egy kicsit belóg neki a deszka, végül mégsem bírja megállni, hogy a lelkes közönségét ismét pofon üsse valami olyan szinten brutális Tea Party agyrémmel, hogy ahhoz képest Seres László zöldbalos neomarxista filozófus lehetne.
