Having watched the penultimate episode of the 5th season last night, I guess I can say I have finally catched up with Game of Thrones! I have yet to see what the fuck will happen to Jon Snow, but otherwise I'm all set to wait & suffer with my friends until April when the next season is said to come by. Right from the start, however, I felt that this whole "winter is coming" thing might just be an allegory of climate change. Whenever I started musing about the blatant stupidity of all those folks fighting their bullshit wars instead of joining forces against the real bad guys, I was immediately reassured by the fact that this is quite exactly what we're doing right here in the real world!
